Leftover Garden - Tomato Fun

Well folks, it's that time of year again. The time where the weather gets cooler and the tomatoes on the vine are no longer turning red. In an effort to maximize our garden this year we decided to pick our green tomatoes and set some on the window sill for turning and then to do something we've never done before...

We fried them!!

First we sliced them.

Then we made batter. Milk, flour, spices...

Next we cooked them in hot oil.

Then we devoured them!! They were stronger than I thought but delicious and we were so proud to use our garden to the max this year!
