Where Do I Get My Coupons?
I have had several people ask me where I get my coupons to do some of my shopping. Here are some tips to make your pile of coupons a bit bigger.
Get a Newspaper. The Sunday paper is your best bet to start a coupon stash. I do not buy multiple newspapers unless I know there is a coupon I really want in it. I was buying them out of a box at $1.50 each or approx. $6.00 a month. I called about a subscription and they wanted $16.82 for just Sunday! Then I found this site and I typed in my zip code. I was able to secure a Sunday delivery for only $5.44 a month!! That's less than the box price!! I received my first paper right away and even received a telephone call to be sure I got it!!
Use Printable Coupons. There are some great printable sites out there including Coupons.com - my favorite! Often you can find high value coupons. You can also print each coupon twice (hit the back button and refresh for your second coupon to print).
Sign up for Coupon Booklets when available. There is a new link right now for a Home Made Simple Coupon Booklet (log in or register - it's Free!) This booklet contains great coupons for products like Dawn, Febreze and Mr. Clean!
Request Free Samples. Often free samples come with valuable coupons. You can see some of the latest free samples I've posted about here. (Not all may still be available). Not only is it good to get the coupons, but it's even funner to get the free samples!!

Hints to Help You Start a Coupon Binder
Here are the steps to making your coupon binder and making it work for you.

1. Pick a binder. I chose a $0.25 cent binder from a yard sale. Mine is 1 and 1/2 inches, although I believe 2 inches may have been more suitable. Mine is also hard plastic and I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone with cloth. Hard plastic slides on the grocery carts. Start with whatever you have handy. Before my binder I used a folder that had 3 prongs to hold my baseball cards in. It wasn't very thick and I liked it until my coupon stash grew.

4. Sort your coupons. Sort them into piles of like items. Toothpaste, toothbrushes together. Frozen foods with frozen foods, etc. I then divide the categories even further if I can.
5. Lay out your baseball card holders and place your cut coupons by category on them. You may need more than one sleeve (and often 2-3 for each category).

I have rearranged, added sleeve under categories, and rearranged again. I'm finally happy! I have these following categories:
1. Toothbrushes/Pads
2. Shaving/Deodorant
3. Lotions/Body Wash/Soaps
4. Hair
5. Medications
6. Cleaners/Smell Goods
7. Grocery
8. Pet
I could further divide grocery, but I'm happy with my organization within that category.
If you're getting started, let me know and share with me your tips for coupon organization!!
