Are You Using Zoombucks Yet?
Each Zoombuck is worth 1 cent. I like having a monetary amount to pin on the buck. Once you have 2,000 points you can redeem for a $20.00 Amazon.com e-gift card. After your first redemption you can redeem once you have reached 1,000 points. I haven't actually redeemed anything yet, but it appears simple enough.
A few things I've picked up on to earn $0.06 a day is to click on ZDailyMain on the left sidebar every twenty-four hours. I always win 4-5 Zoombucks after typing in text from an advertisement. Also, once a day I click on GWallet on the same sidebar and pick up $0.01 or 1 Zoombuck for doing the same thing. If you search under "Free" often times you'll find videos for a couple Zoombucks just for watching also.
I can't wait to earn my first Amazon e-gift card from them! To see how I earn lots of Amazon money, check out my previous post.

Shopping for Services (An Effort to Spend/Pay Less)
Moving on, I took a look at our financials and the area that I think is worth shopping around for lower rates is insurance. We carry multiple policies so I thought a look through was necessary. After gathering my paperwork for each item we insure (i.e. house, automobiles, etc.), I called my mom.
Trust me, you're never too old to call your mom! She gave me some good advice. She said to raise my deductibles. Now I realize this isn't the best choice for everyone and I am by no means suggesting to anyone that you do this. Her thinking (and now mine) is that families should get together in this economy and work together to help save each other money. Should the need arise to actually need the insurance coverage (which hopefully it will not) then the question becomes how much of a deductible can you afford? If you have a large family, then what if everyone could pitch in a little if it was an event large enough that you needed help anyway? Surely if your house burnt down, your family could help with a larger deductible because chances are they are going to be the first ones to help you anyway, whether it's buying clothes, housing you etc.
By just raising our deductible a few hundred dollars we were able to save $40.00 a year on homeowner's insurance.
Auto insurance is the same idea. Since we would never turn anything in that would be a small repair we figured that a $500.00 deductible sounded fair. So by simply by raising our deductible to $500.00 we saved more than $350.00 a year on our policy!! We did not and do not suggest lowering any limits on liability etc. So we were able to keep the higher limits, but save on the deductible.
That's almost $400.00 a year folks!!
Again I'm not suggesting you raise your deductibles, but if you can afford or have enough help to do it, then it can be a real money saver.
I'm finding more and more that shopping for services can be a BIG money saver! Businesses want and NEED your business these days, so they are more likely to match or beat competitor prices.

Managing Multiple Survey Sites
Here are some of the steps I take:
1. I use one email account for all survey sites. This is a separate account from my personal email so I don't have to deal with any junk mail coming into my personal account.
2. I check my survey email daily. Before I do anything else, I immediately delete any junk mail that has come in and save only survey invitations. This can eliminate more than half of my emails sometimes.
3. I organize my email. I made a folder for each survey site so I can quickly move any point verifications, redemption emails, etc. to the folder to keep track of my rewards.
4. I earn my computer time and I don't watch much TV. After my son goes to bed and I spend approximately 1/2 hour cleaning house, then I feel like I've earned the time to spend on the computer. I go to my survey email and simply start with the first email and go one by one, no matter which site the next invite came from.
5. When I'm done, if there is still time, I pick one survey site to actually go to their page and see if there are any other open opportunities on the site itself. Most of the time, you'll find that there are. Each night I pick a different site, so I can make the most of each site over the course of a week. I also take that time to check point levels and see if I can redeem for anything.
6. If I don't want to, I don't. If I don't feel up to surveys one night, then I simply don't do any. I might do step number 2, but otherwise I just start again the next day.
One other hint: When you join a survey site, be sure to take a few minutes to fill out your initial profile. This saves you time from not qualifying for surveys, as you'll get more tailored survey invitations, based on your profiles, sent to you.
You'd be surprised how an hour each evening can really help you rack up the points for rewards. Happy Surveying!
